Our academic curriculum is designed to foster curiosity, creativity, critical thinking and reflection ability in young learners. YK Pao School Hong Kong is in the process of becoming an IB candidate school and plan to offer primary and middle years programmes with enhanced courses in Putonghua and Mathematics.**

By learning in both English and Putonghua, students benefit from complementary teaching styles and gain a deeper and integrated comprehension of concepts across subjects.

For Years 1 – 5, the language learning consists of 50% English and 50% Chinese, aiming for Communication Proficiency.
For Years 6 – 9, the language learning comprises 60% English and 40% Chinese, aiming for Academic Proficiency.

Whole-person education is fundamental to our approach, promoting the balanced development of students. We emphasize not only academic excellence but also social, emotional, physical, and ethical growth. Our curriculum integrates academics with creative arts, sports, and character education programmes.

Being a global citizen goes beyond knowledge. It requires open-mindedness, ethical awareness and responsible action. Our school nurtures these qualities through global competitions, collaborative projects, and community initiatives.

Application Fee

Application Fee: HK$2,000 (Non-refundable)**

The application fee is intended solely to recover partially the costs directly associated with the student admissions process, including:

  • Processing and assessment of applications;
  • Admissions administration;
  • Communication with applicants and families;
  • Admissions interviews and assessments;
  • Maintenance of admissions systems and records;
  • Admissions-related marketing and outreach activities.

The application fee is non-refundable and payable upon application submission. This application fee is not a duplicate charge for school tuition.

2026-27 Campus Location

To address the increasing demand for high-quality bilingual education, YK Pao School Hong Kong will commence welcoming the first cohort of new students at its Kowloon East campus, with plan to grow into Rose Street campus.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will YK Pao School Hong Kong open?
YK Pao School Hong Kong will open in September 2026 for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Which year levels will be offered?
We will offer Years 1 to 3 at opening.

What is the application process?
Parents will need to submit an online application for Early Decision via our Open Apply system, which can be accessed through our website.

What is assessment format?
The assessment process is divided into 2 stages. All children will be invited for the first stage. After the first stage, selected families will be invited back for the family meeting stage.

What are the tuition fees?
Annual tuition fee is payable in 10 equal instalments via bank autopay.

Annual tuition fee of Years 1-4 in Academic Year 2026/27: HK$220,000

A non-refundable tuition deposit** is an advanced payment of the first instalment of tuition fee and payable upon acceptance of school admission offer. This tuition deposit** paid will then be credited against the first tuition fee invoice of the academic year. Where a student subsequently withdraws after acceptance of the admission offer, the tuition deposit** will be forfeited.

The capital levy** is used to fund capital expenditure of the school, including but not limited to the renovation and construction of campuses, acquisition of new facilities, furniture and equipment, as well as any long-term capital developments and major improvement works thereafter.

Annual capital levy**: HK$50,000 (waived during the academic years at the Kowloon East Campus)
